Photo Diary: Aircraft at the USS Intrepid Air and Space Museum, NY

The Intrepid Air and Space Museum has around 25 airplanes on exhibit, spanning the era from the Second World War through Vietnam and the Cold War.

F4U Corsair, a fighter/bomber used in WW2 and Korea. This is the GM-built version known as FG-1.

TBM Avenger, a WW2 torpedo bomber

FJ-3 Fury, the naval version of the Air Force’s F-86 Sabre. Korean War era.
