The Midterms Playbook

Step 1: There will either be no midterms or the results of a free and fair election will be challenged by the DOJ, and tied up in the courts.

Step 2: Protests across the country will erupt

Step 3: The protests will be seized upon by the Trump administration as an excuse to invoke the Insurrection Act. (I have written to my Senator already that this law should be repealed or severely restricted, say, by adding a provision requiring congressional approval) (which congress though? The old one or the newly elected members?” or Trump will simply call a national emergency and declare martial law put troops on the streets. Make no mistake, Trump is going to do this anyways. He will ignore Congress and the courts and flood the zone regardless. Fox is already laying the groundwork about insurrection.

Step 4: This won’t go over well and people will rise up and there really will be a national emergency. By this point, all bets are off. Anything can happen and honestly, we’ll be hostage to the least sane individuals, and it is not out of the realm of possibility than some incident will even be manufactured.

Conclusion: by this time next year, we could very well be in America’s second civil war. Remember, January 6. Trump has already tried an illegal overthrow of the government. Who is implicated already? Trump, Vance, Hegseth, Fox, Bondi, Patel, Bongino, plus some as yet unknown unknown members of congress. Nobody should assume regularity and process will, in time, prevail.

Get yourselves, your loved ones and communities ready. On our current trajectory (Trump’s impeachment is about the only thing I see that changes our course), this is what we are facing. Epstein doesn’t matter, Venezuela, Greenland, NATO, etc. no longer matter. And if democrats won’t help, and I highly suspect they’ll fail to rise to the moment, we are all on our own.
