Let’s be clear: ICE is state sponsored terror.
The U.S. government is being used to intimidate, detain, and terrorize communities of color.
Right now, Indigenous community members are being detained. Others are being harassed. Families are living in fear.
This is not hypothetical. This is happening now.
But we refuse to be terrorized.
We refuse to surrender our democracy.
And we refuse to stop fighting back.
Arizona Native Democrats exist because our communities have resisted violence and oppression for generations. State sponsored violence is not new to us but neither is resistance.
Today, we are meeting this moment head-on.
We are educating our communities about safety and rights. We are building real time communication systems to share verified information quickly. We are organizing community gatherings like those happening this week in Pinon and Somerton to protect our relatives in this time of crisis.
Through Relatives Rising, phonebanks, texts, social media, and in-person outreach, we are doing what has always worked: bringing people together, telling the truth, and building community power.

At the same time, we are preparing for the fight ahead in November.
We are recruiting and training voter registration experts. We are answering questions on Our Voter Helpline, about how to cast your ballot successfully. We are equipping community members with the tools and materials they need to turn fear into action, and action into votes.
Because winning in 2026 is part of how we stop this violence for good.
But here is the truth: we cannot slow down.
