So I wanted to bring this to everyone’s attention for General Awareness but also because it is one more abuse of power by ICE that I think must get as much attention as possible.
Activists on the ground in Portland Maine are now saying that ICE is switching up their tactics of intimidation which now includes visits to people’s homes with threats.
Now, the volunteers in Maine say federal agents have started showing up at their homes and intimidating them or threatening arrest. Some of them, masked and wearing tactical gear, have issued stark warnings not to follow them.

This administration and their oligarch allies seem pretty hell bent on creating a police state, but The Minnesota killings have created a PR nightmare for them. In my view it is essential that we keep sustained pressure on this issue, so that they are not able to regroup and come back with simply sneakier methods of violence an intimidation.
I remember during the George Floyd killings their was universal condemnation against choking an unarmed black man to death, which seemed a pretty reasonable position at the time. Yet somehow, the right fairly successfully morphed that obvious message into BLM is a terrorist organization.
I’d rather not give them the luxury of doing that again. Or of them working slowly to change the view of ICE as a force of good for America, through their various propaganda channels.
That is why in my view, it is essential Congressional democrats not be allowed to let them off with a finger wag and promise to wear some body cams in future murders.
A masked police is a secret police. Free societies do not have Secret Police. Ice does not need ten times their previous budget and they sure as fuck shouldn’t be armed like they are doing a tour in Falluja. Nor should they be deploying Long Range Acoustic Device weapons against The American citizens they are not murdering.
So please call your Senator, call your congressman, call your mom. Call everyone you can think of tell them ICE must be reigned in, and hopefully abolished and prosecuted.
