Kitchen Table Kibitzing: Thursday, Jan. 29

Just going to be a place saver today. I’m writing this on Tuesday morning before I go in for  photodynamic therapy (PDT), to treat precancers on my face. Just a month ago I completed a MOHS treatment for a cancer on my nose. After the treatment, I have to stay inside and away from direct light from windows and avoid use of devices for 48 hours. My daughter is coming down from Petaluma this afternoon to take care of Maisie. I have a lot of odds and ends to take care of this morning.before I head in. Wanted to make sure I had something to publish Thursday ...

Quick trip up to the vet for a 5pm appointment yesterday where the vet informed me that Maisie has kennel cough. Prescribed her antibiotics, which stayed down just fine last night but this morning not so luckky. Vet said to wait until this evening and feed first rather than give her the meds first. If that doesn’t work we’re going to try a different antibiotic. She’s contagious for seven days and I’m hoping the dosing works tonight because she’s scheduled at the Marin Humane Society for training next Tuesday. Cross your fingers.

I should probably be around Thursday to stop in as the ban on devices will be over by then. Let’s hope my computer is, too.
