The Russian Foreign Ministry has officially called on the United States not to obstruct the prompt repatriation of Russian citizens from the seized oil tanker Marinera. In a statement to TASS, Moscow demanded humane and respectful treatment for the crew and said it is closely monitoring.

The United States reports seizing one more tanker, Sophia, that is part of the shadow fleet and under sanctions.
According to the US report, the vessel did not have a state flag and was conducting illegal activity. It will be escorted to the United States for further legal procedures.

As a result, we created our own problems, first by claiming the tanker was ours and urging everyone not to touch it, and then, after attempts were made to seize it, we were literally unable to do anything to protect it.
