The ICE thug Man who shot Ms. Renee Good on Wednesday has been identified as Jonathan Ross. According to the Star Tribune:
The...agent who fatally shot a 37-year-old woman in Minneapolis on Jan. 7 is Jonathan Ross...who was dragged and injured by a fleeing driver in a separate incident last year...On June 17, Ross was participating in an arrest of Roberto Carlos Munoz-Guatemala...Munoz-Guatemala ignored the agents’ commands...to...roll down his car window, so Ross broke open his rear window and reached inside to unlock the door...Munoz-Guatemala...accelerated onto the curb...The agent required 20 stitches for a deep cut in his right arm and another 13 stitches in his left hand…
As I mentioned in previous comments I am both retired military and a Federal guard. When I joined the service and Federal Law Enforcement I knew the risk and accepted them. To quote a certain actor in the movie Time Cop:
MELISSA WALKER (Mia Sara): Are you gonna take this job?
OFFICER MAX WALKER (Jean-Claude Van Damme): I think so.
MELISSA WALKER: Is this T.E.C. Thing dangerous?
OFFICER MAX WALKER: I don't bake cookies for a living.
We invest a lot of extra-legal authority in our law enforcement: They literally have the right to do things under color of law that would get you arrested:
- Stop and detain an individual (false imprisonment)
- Transporting an individual against their will (Kidnapping)
- Drawing and pointing a firearm on an individual (aggravated assault)
Because we give then so much power we demand (or should demand) that they exercise that authority judiciously.
-
with good judgment or sense.
If you watch the various videos it appears that Ross acted with bad judgement and no sense. Ms. Good was issued contradictory commands to both turn around and get out of the car. While turning around another ICE man attempted to open the door. While turning Ms. Good's vehicle injured no one. Ms. Good was not a convicted murderer or rapist, just a civilian who was scared and may have panicked. And Ross was sure as f*ck was not in fear of his life as he drew his pistol and fired three bullets into the poor lady's head.
I believe it was not fear that drove Rosses action but anger. He was determined to show this b***H that she could not defy him. So in a moment of stupidity he disregarded all of his training (if you believe DHS he had over a decade of experience) and elected to be judge, jury and executioner.
Did getting seriously injured less than a year earlier affect his judgement? Maybe? Should Ross have gotten counseling if he noticed any anger issues? Definitely. Were his Superiors aware of any behavior changes? Who can say? And should they have ordered Ross to seek counseling if they had? Well uh yeah.
Is any of this justification for murdering an innocent citizen? Not only no, but H*ll No.
If Ross ever goes to trial (yeah Commander, Like that is going to happen), but if he should he can try to argue it before a jury. Worked out so well for this ex-officer.

Update: He did not just think it.
