So, are we giving up the governor's office in California?

From all indicators California appear to be head to a general election for Governor with two  Republican running against each other, because  of jungle primary. Katie Porter seems to be running a close third, but here in California with nationally republicans cratoring, why aren’t people here getting behind her? 

I have little to nothing else to put here except WTF is going on? Can someone explain to me why I haven’t seen a thing about this?
