Here is what I wrote — this is just a suggestion: “I am against the new White House ballroom because it is historically, aesthetically, and financially impractical, essentially overpowering the existing Executive Mansion. Construction needs to be approved by a process, not on a whim by a president ... and its financing should be controlled by Congress and also be transparent. The donor system of funding seems more like bribes than anything else and as we've seen it also means there is no cap on costs since the price of the ballroom has doubled in the last few months.”
