What is reverse racism? According to a bunch of white people on the right, who claim they are being discriminated against by DEI practices it is racism against white people. In reality they are realizing that they have been getting by without doing the work and when they come up against folks with qualifications they are now the ones relegated to the bottom of the pile. To put it bluntly they have lost their safety nets. Jobs and other privileges are no longer a guarantee just cause you’re white.
The facade has fallen. After decades of telling us that women were just too emotional, not as smart as men, that Black folks were just lazy and incompetent, that other minorities were just immoral… the facade has fallen.
Programs like AA, DEI, even though flawed, started nonetheless bearing fruits, as equal opportunities and merit-based advancements started being truly implemented, previously dismissed groups kept rising to the top and shining and breaking stereotypes. DEI is for everyone, no matter what you hear. That’s the I for inclusivity. It means stop giving promotions, jobs, privileges only to white men.
More women than men are going to universities.
More women than men are graduating with honors.
More Black women are rising through the ranks.

Obama pulverized the myth of the lesser-than-us Black men
Michele, Kamala, KBJ, and Sotomayor did the same for Black/Brown women
Hilary put to shame the white women tropes
Women of every ethnicity and people of every minority group are doing for businesses and in politics, what Black athletes have done to sports; showing what real work, real training, real perseverance, real dedication is capable of. And those attributes were developed by these groups because they were truly oppressed and suppressed. But once the damn broke, white supremacists could not hold that deluge of capabilities back.
In every minority demographic, myths, stereotypes, tropes were being exposed as nothing but fictitious. In a merit-based society as things stand today, those that had been held at the bottom were winning, bigly and rapidly gaining ground. And that my friends scared the living crap out of right wingers, bent on keeping whites in power no matter the cost.
Most white men of a certain bent, have been coasting through by doing the bare minimum, if even that, for their rise and places were reserved and guaranteed, effort was not necessary. But as merit-based rose, training(education/aptitude) started to matter more and more, efficiency was starting to be the name of the game and they were found lacking.
The other day I saw a clip of Cenk complaining that upwards of 70% of teachers were non-white people as compared to 21% in the past, what Cenk did not address in the segment I saw, was “why?”. Could it be that white men in general feel that teaching is a job that’s beneath them? There’s no glamour attached to being a teacher, hell teachers have to buy supplies for their students. Also, you need go to school to be a teacher and white men (that kind) feel it’s beneath them. It’s also why the fields remain empty after the mass detention of farm workers, cause most white men think tilling the fields is slave work.
It’s not that DEI is giving minorities more jobs, promotions etc… it’s that DEI has revealed the lack of qualification of a certain segment of the population who has failed to pursue their education as they should because they were always guaranteed a place at the table. They spent their college years partying and getting by with minimal grades.
And that’s why they are cleaning the archives and removing minorities even white women, because in general a minority that has broken through to the highest level and is in the public eye, will outshine them every single time. Keeping up the myth that white folks are somehow of superior innate intellect and morality has hit the brick wall of realism and that just won’t do for these folks.
And that’s why they are as intent on erasing every vestige of accomplishments of minorities as they are in implementing a whole host of new obstacles to limit their ascension to positions of power and visibility. Cause they don’t want young minorities to have examples, models, to aspire to.
