I’ve been following the monks journey on Facebook since the beginning of January and and am one of thousands who have fallen in love with Aloka, the peace dog. For those of you — is there really anyone? — not following this incredibly inspirational trek and its star, Aloka, I’d encourage you to tune in. I hadn’t been on FB for years until I decided to memorialize my dog Aggie Pocket when she passed last fall. I’ve noticed since the ICE shootings that there is a preponderance of political action posts. I’m wondering if others are seeing that activity has really kicked up. At first when I reengaged, I would get a lot of content about dogs but now I’ve somehow connected with so many postings about the current state of the country that I am continually reading entries from groups and individuals across the country. Wondering if anyone else has noticed an uptick.
Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share a virtual kitchen table with other readers of Daily Kos who aren’t throwing pies at one another. Drop by to talk about music, your weather, your garden, or what you cooked for supper…. Newcomers may notice that many who post in this series already know one another to some degree, but we welcome guests at our kitchen table and hope to make some new friends as well.
