GA-14 primary: Dem. Shawn Harris, Brigadier General, retired, leads in MTG’s former district. There will be a runoff on April 7, for the rest of MTG’s term, and a regular election in November for the next session of Congress. Harris will need to “overperform” by 17 points compared with Trump’s last win in Georgia. That is by no means impossible in this political environment.

CNN: Democrat Shawn Harris to face Trump-endorsed Republican Clay Fuller in runoff to replace Marjorie Taylor Greene, CNN projects
Fuller, who resigned his role as a district attorney to run in the special, surged to the front of a crowded Republican field after snagging an endorsement from Trump in February. But the president’s support failed to narrow the field of a dozen GOP hopefuls enough to allow his chosen candidate to win the seat outright.
Trump touted Fuller’s win, writing on Truth Social late Tuesday night, “Congratulations to Clay Fuller, of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, on getting such a high percentage of the vote with 12 Republicans running.”
“We want to make the next vote ‘TOO BIG TO RIG.’ Clay will be a GREAT Congressman — HE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!
Trump continued.
If by “rigging an election” he means “showing up to vote”, we have something to say about that.

LEADERSHIP
MATTERS
It has been an insanely busy week, emphasis on the insanity. But on every front We The People and a lot of those who work for us have been rising up and pushing back ever more effectively. What have you been up to?
Iran
Donald Trump and his minions have put forth 10 different reasons for starting a war with Iran, including the insane claim that Iran tried to steal the 2020 and 2024 elections, and have been spouting the veriest nonsense in all directions ever since. For example, Trump said that the oil tankers outside the Strait of Hormuz should just go on in
Because we have sunk all of their Navy.
As though Iran doesn’t have missiles that Trump demands they give up.
There was an erroneous official rumor on X, soon deleted, that the US Navy had escorted a tanker in. Not happening. You can’t ask US soldiers to die for oil, many say, as though the US and other countries hadn’t been conducting oil wars for ages.
I went into much more of the insanity and the pre-war pushback in The Pushback Chronicles: The Fog of Warmongering

They brought flowers and called for justice for Epstein's unknown victims. (The FBI never raided the ranch, after telling the local police to back off).

This accusation is making the rounds, but has not been in any way confirmed.
AG Pam Bondi has been subpoena’d to testify about the missing or over- or under-redacted Epstein documents before Congress under oath, on penalty of perjury or inherent contempt. One of many questions is how the Department of Injustice managed to out 21 more of Epstein’s victims, after the last time they outed a bunch and published 20 nude photographs.
The DOJ released a portion of previously withheld files under pressure -- three FBI interview summaries containing allegations that President Trump sexually assaulted a minor in the 1980s. The department described the omission as a "coding error." NPR's investigation confirms 37 pages remain missing. A House Democrat has introduced articles of impeachment against Bondi. The DOJ has been confirmed to have monitored the search history of members of Congress reviewing the unredacted files.
And now the trap closes:
Bondi has been subpoenaed but no date has been set. Lutnick agreed to testify voluntarily -- no date set. Rep. Ro Khanna said publicly he is "not confident we'll get answers." The reason no one says out loud: if Bondi defies the subpoena, contempt gets referred to the Justice Department. The department she runs. She is her own judge.

More criminality and ultra-incompetence at DoIJ comes out every day now.
Voting
The SAVE Act to steal the November elections is dead. Majority Leader John Thune pushed back on Trump’s demand to kill the filibuster.
National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC): Virginia's Likely Adoption is an Act of Patriotism, Righting an 1800 Wrong.
NPVIC is an agreement among U.S. states and the District of Columbia to award all their electoral votes to the presidential ticket that wins the overall popular vote in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. It is considered a pragmatic, voluntary state-based initiative because it aims to ensure the winner of the national popular vote wins the presidency without requiring a constitutional amendment, operating instead within the existing Electoral College framework by utilizing states' constitutional authority to appoint electors. If enough states join the NPVIC to reach a total of 270 electoral votes, the United States will effectively shift from a winner-take-all (WTA) regime to a national popular vote system for electing the President.
With Virginia's adoption, the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact will be adopted by eighteen states and the District of Columbia, collectively holding 222 electoral votes. The compact requires 270 electoral votes (a majority of the 538 total) to take effect. It currently needs forty-eight more electoral votes to become active.
The wrong of the 1800 presidential election was that Virginia moved from a district-based system for awarding its electoral votes to adopt a winner-take-all system , a strategic, partisan move designed to secure all of the state's electoral votes for Thomas Jefferson and prevent John Adams from gaining any.

Virginia 2026 Regular Session
SB322Status: Awaiting Governor's Action
National Popular Vote Compact; enters Virginia into an interstate compact.
Presidential electors; National Popular Vote Compact. Enters Virginia into an interstate compact known as the Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote. Article II of the Constitution of the United States gives the states exclusive and plenary authority to decide the manner of awarding their electoral votes. Under the compact, Virginia agrees to award its electoral votes to the presidential ticket that receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The compact goes into effect when states cumulatively possessing a majority of the electoral votes have joined the compact. A state may withdraw from the compact; however, a withdrawal occurring within six months of the end of a President's term shall not become effective until a President or Vice President has qualified to serve the next term. The bill also provides for the manner of appointing electors when such agreement does and does not govern the appointment of electors. This bill is identical to HB 965.
Oh, I can’t tell you how much I want us to flip Texas and put the NPVIC into action for 2028. Yes, I know it’s a fantasy, but still, at the same time…

The U.S. economy lost 92,000 jobs in February, stoking labor market worries
The economy has remained a mixed bag, in part because of a government shutdown and a lack of clarity over the Trump administration's tariff agenda.
