President Donald Trump spoke to reporters Wednesday, where he seemed loath to discuss anything having to do with his war in Iran—except for how great his bombing campaign has been.
When asked about reports that a Pentagon investigation found that the United States fired a missile into a girls’ school in Minab, Iran, killing at least 165 people—mostly children—Trump brushed the question aside.
“I don't know about it,” Trump said dismissively.
He was also asked whether he could consider the war a victory if it succeeded only in replacing Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei with his son Mojtaba Khamenei.
“I don't want to comment on that,” Trump replied. “But I will tell you, I just spoke with various countries—the leaders of various countries, you'll have a list—and they said they've never seen anything like it.”
Similarly, Trump wanted nothing to do with a reporter’s question about a potential withdrawal plan.
“I'm not going to answer that,” he said. “But we have hit them harder than virtually any country in history has been hit, and we're not finished yet.”
Despite seemingly having no answers himself, one thing has become crystal clear: how little Trump grasps the scale of the damage that he’s done.
