Susie Wiles, the DarnOlds’ Turmp White House Chief of Staff since before a few wars ago, announced that she has been diagnosed with early stage breast cancer. But her prognosis has been deemed as “strong” (I’m guessing by someone quite familiar with how important it is to explain things to the DarnoOlds’ in words of only one or two syllables).
Of course, we all wish Wiles the very best in her journey through cancer treatment, and I’m sure more than one person here will be praying for its positive outcome. No snark; it must be scary, and we’re all human beings.
That said, I have the impression that at some point chemotherapy may be involved, and that chemotherapy often involves a mental state known as “brain fog.” And I can’t help but wonder: if she were to actually try to continue her duties, possibly remotely, how that would affect the visible moderation of his impulsive language-like utterances in public, since she assumed her duties on a few wars ago?
I don’t try to read or listen to his shtick, preferring to depend on the sane-washed sound-bites of the Fake News Media to entertain me with amusing takes on his lunatic pronouncements, just as if he’s a normal president. But the last few days, his mouth-nuggets have had kind of a ...plaintive tone?… sort of a little bit bewildered in spots?
tbh, it’s like he’s trying different combinations of words, and then a few seconds later tries another related but contradictory combination of words. Like he’s waiting for someone to nudge him toward the “more advisable” combination? This is probably only wishful thinking on my part, but it’s like she’s already only sporadically available…
But I’m mostly posting this in the hope that it touches off someone to write more, and more authoritatively, about the headline topic.
EDIT: Someone pointed out that this news, like most or all of the chaos swirling around President Adjudicated Rapist these days, distracts attention from and the fact that he’s (at minimum) an abettor of child-rape, if not an enabler and/or actually guilty of child-rape himself. Taking the spotlight off himself is not like him, but I completely missed the possibility that the whole story is a lie. And Wiles participating in that would certainly fit her profile of principled partisan loyalty.
