DJT Upside: USA Regime Change, Lesser A$$holes

DJT - Mr. Id - has done the world a favor by attacking Iran and hastening regime change... in the USA. I listened to an interview with John Bolton the other day. When asked about nation building he didn't mention any failures in Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, or anywhere else. He just cited successes in  Germany and Japan, for which we were at war for four years prior and had broad international support. His glossing over the failures in the 77 years of his lifetime, much less anything during his ineffective time in government, is hilarious as well as infuriating. When POTUS is Mr. Id, unfiltered limbic responses, casuistry, and self-delusion are mandatory. He'll make Bush the Lesser's "Mission Accomplished" speech look like a warm-up act.

DJT's regime is against inoculations.  However, the regime is itself inoculative. DJT is a lesser a$$hole, leavening his malevolence with incompetence. As the first Gilded Age and its plutocrats did, I hope - I expect -  that his regime will hasten a Progressive Era as a response to it, and will motivate protections against greater a$$holes who are just as malevolent but far more competent - a low bar as that may be. His regime caused 400,000 unnecessary Americans deaths during COVID. In November 2024, 77 million Americans provided an anti-a$$hole booster shot. It will hurt and kill a lot of people worldwide. May this trauma be a bridge for us to end the reactionary MAGAzoic Era (h/t Lucian Truscott IV) and come out stronger, more mindful, and more compassionate on the other side.
