Marco Rubio stood in front of a camera prior to briefing Congressional leadership & said Trump had to preemptively attack Iran because of the imminent threat to US facilities as the US and Israel attacked Iran.
Rubio: “We knew there would be an Israeli action” hence the pressure pushing a US attack.
Apparently Rubio just didn't warn the embassies of the imminent attack from Iran & didn't plan to evacuate Americans.

Little Marco parroted Trump’s “we’re not going to get hit first by nuclear weapons” rationalizing the attack on the weekend. even as US intel reported no imminent nuclear threat.
The rationale for the Saturday strike was largely because a large number of the Iranian leadership was in one location.
Surprise! Numerous Americans are stuck overseas as State Department actions to evacuate citizens seem only just starting.

while zugzwangs can be part of a strategy leading toward a Pyrrhic victory, they are distinct concepts. Zugzwang is about having to make a disadvantageous move, whereas a Pyrrhic victory is more about the overall cost of winning.
