President Donald Trump’s mass pardon of his pet insurrectionists wiped their slates clean, freeing them of any consequences for their treasonous assault on democracy.
But of course, that’s still not enough.
Three insurrections have just filed a class action lawsuit under the Federal Tort Claims Act, claiming that the police used indiscriminate and excessive force against them—and the only remedy is cash, cash, cash.
Insurrectionists storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Specifically, your cash.
Two of the named plaintiffs, Patrick and Marie Sullivan, were never even charged with a crime for their flirtation with treason, but they suffered because police indiscriminately attacked their peaceful protest.
All they were doing was a mass insurrection where they attacked cops and broke into the U.S. Capitol, threatening to kill members of Congress. How dare the police try to stop them! What is this country coming to?
The lawsuit asks the court to certify a class of 46 rioters, giving them more than $18 million in damages because they were just widdle guys peacefully milling about when cops attacked without warning.
The other named plaintiff is Alan Fischer, who helped lead the charge to overwhelm the police; encouraged the crowd to attack officers; and threw a traffic cone, a chair, and a pole at the cops. So peaceful!

Who else needs your money? What about Christopher Worrell, who sprayed police with pepper spray? Or maybe Dominic Pezzola, who smashed a window of the U.S. Capitol with a riot shield he stole from police?
The insurrectionists have displayed a regrettable tendency to commit other crimes, with at least 33 of those pardoned being charged with other offenses. No biggies, really, just little things like threatening to murder House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.
With those numbers, it isn’t surprising that someone included in this lawsuit is currently incarcerated for an entirely different crime.
Andrew Johnson has a lot of nerve to demand your money when he was convicted just last month of molesting a child under 12 and a child under 16, as well as transmitting harmful digital materials to minors. He told one of his child victims that he would be getting $10 million for having been an insurrectionist—an obvious attempt to silence them. Real stand-up guy.
Douglas Jensen, an insurrectionist who was pardoned by President Donald Trump, is seen standing off with police while wearing a QAnon shirt on Jan. 6, 2021.
Daniel Tocci, another lucky pardoned ducky, isn’t part of this lawsuit but did just recently take a stab at arguing that Trump’s pardon absolved him of his child pornography charges. Tocci ultimately pleaded guilty earlier this week when the Department of Justice declined to support this theory.
But hey, trying to say that the pardon stretches on infinitely is worth a shot, given that Trump re-pardoned an insurrectionist for an unrelated gun charge.
Jan. 6 insurrectionists are going to continue to push for money. Trump created this monster not only by pardoning them, but also by outright saying that he’s been kicking around compensating them.
No doubt much to their chagrin, this has not happened—even as Trump made his own demand for $230 million for the pain and suffering he endured while being investigated for his obvious crimes, for which he faced no consequences.
The insurrection occurred because Trump hyped up the most suggestible, conspiracy-minded, violent people in his orbit. And then he rewarded them for that violence, wiping away their convictions.
Why shouldn’t they take his vague promises of riches at face value? If Trump can get $230 million of your tax dollars, surely these brave little treason weasels deserve some too.
