Ukraine hammered the Russian oil terminal at Ust-Luga near St. Petersburg once again.
The Russian refinery in Kstovo — east of Moscow near Nizhny Novgorod — has been shut down after a Ukrainian attack.
Ukrainian drones also attacked a chemical plant in Rossosh, a town southeast of Belgorod.
This report says Russians can see Ukrainian drones but often don’t have the missiles to shoot them down.
The partial honest answer to the question: "Why are we missing so many kamikaze debris?" is that we have a very serious shortage of air defense missiles. Especially in the Panzer units. Often, vehicles are parked without ammunition or with incomplete ammunition.
/there is no shame in speaking honestly. It is shameful not to solve the problem,
as the consequences only become worse.

The war in Iran has brought Ukraine closer to Middle East countries.
x
ZELENSKYY: "We already have arrangements with Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, and Jordan. There’s also interest from Oman and Bahrain.
For the first time in its history, Ukraine is not only present in the Middle East and Gulf region but is also a welcome and strong partner there."

Israel has been cool to the idea of helping Ukraine during this war out of a desire to maintain a working relationship with Russia. How’s that policy working out for them?
Trump has no cards.
x
BROWDER: Trump has effectively lost almost all his leverage over Ukraine. There’s no more financial or weapons leverage, they’re even diverting the weapons now.
Whatever leverage Trump had has probably declined by 90%. Maybe 10% remains, like intelligence sharing.

The missile frigate that Ukraine hit in the port of Novorossiysk was the Admiral Essen.

Ukrainian strikes hit the Russian frigate Admiral Essen again in Novorossiysk on April 6. Identification was confirmed by distinctive radar coloring and vessel positioning, distinguishing it from other Project 11356R frigates. #Ukraine

It turns out that Orban was Putin’s little lap dog. Who could have guessed? I’m shocked — SHOCKED!
x
❗️Bloomberg leaked a transcript of a phone call between Viktor Orban and Vladimir Putin on October 17, where Orban offered to help Putin. The conversation took place before a planned meeting between Trump and Putin in Budapest, which was later canceled.

JD Vance continues to shit all over Ukraine.
x
🇺🇸❗️🇺🇦 JD Vance: "We definitely know there are elements within the Ukrainian intelligence services who tried to influence the American elections, the Hungarian elections. It's just what they do. It's part of the cost of working with certain elements of their system."

The new digital reality for Russians.
Gee, that's too bad.

1/ Russia's blocking of Telegram is having a devastating effect on the volunteer communities that support the Russian army in Ukraine. A Russian warblogger posts a despairing account of how the 'humanitarian aid' system has all but collapsed as a result. ⬇️

2/ The Russian army is hugely dependent on volunteer-provided 'humanitarian aid' – which in practice means anything from drones to generators to bulletproof vests – because so little is provided by the Russian Ministry of Defence. Alexander Zaborovsky writes:
3/ "I’m talking about Telegram blocks and specifically what has been drastically affected by them.
I’m referring to volunteer organisations and groups. 99% of them rely on Telegram for communication, including with combat units.
4/ "For over four years, there have been zero problems.
…..
9/ "As of today, VPNs are working, but they promise to shut down this route starting on the 15th [of April].In short, the humanitarians have been dealt a serious blow.
10/ "Bitch, enrollment has already been dropping for five years!!! I’m 100% sure this is a deliberate sabotage and betrayal, you bastards.
11/ "The excuse from the top is that they don’t know that Telegram is the only channel of communication with the ‘mainland’ [Russia]—that’s for the mentally retarded with half a brain, just like the claim that saboteurs use it and drones fly with it; the fighters don’t give…
12/ …a fuck about it. (See a speech on 8 March by a lieutenant-colonel’s communications officer, who most likely never got within 50 km of the front line). All this is being done deliberately by specific monsters with names and surnames, spitting on the law from on high...
13/ "I’m putting it very mildly, though apart from swearing and hatred for these ghouls at the top, there’s nothing left. And things aren’t getting any easier at the front. Since 8 March 2022, we’ve been preparing for our 46th mission.
Well, at least we finally found something that Russians care about.
Apparently nobody wanted to fly to the workers paradise.
Russian AK-12 rifles aren’t getting five-star reviews.
“The AK-12. The designers should be sent into assaults with their own shitty creation. Just completely incompetent bastards. Mikhail Timofeyevich is probably spinning in his grave from what they’ve done to his best assault rifle in the world.”
Today’s lesson in swearing in Ukrainian.
Pronounced as yo+huh as in bun +ny like in albaby but deeper + y as ending in may +py as in pea but deeper +z+deh as in dent + ts’ as a closed high hat sound . Stress on ‘yo’ and then on ‘de’. You’re welcome.
