OK admittedly it’s only 86% of the vote in, but really? A 20-point margin in a battleground state?
As NBC News reports:
Liberals are expanding their majority on Wisconsin’s state Supreme Court, NBC News projects, with Democratic-backed Chris Taylor defeating Republican-backed Maria Lazar for the open seat. Justice Rebecca Bradley, a conservative, decided to retire this year.
I don’t know how far some of y’all’s memories go back, but the Wisconsin Supreme Court used to be a bit of a nail-biter. Much ink and angst was spilled about the fluctuating makeup of this particular state supreme court.
Not any more.
This margin will narrow, but, please.
From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Liberal candidate Chris Taylor cruised to an easy victory over her conservative opponent in the state Supreme Court race on Tuesday night, according to early projections, expanding a liberal majority on the court to 5-2.
Taylor, a state Appeals Court judge, was declared the winner over fellow state Appeals Court Judge Maria Lazar by Decision Desk HQ at 8:26 p.m. on April 7, not even a half hour after the polls closed.
Ten year term.
Boy oh boy, this is looking to be a bad, bad, year for Republicans.
