We all know about the North Carolina attacks, but not much has been mentioned about the ongoing attacks on Obama in Mississippi. It is a State that Obama will not likely carry, but Travis Childers is running for Congressional District 1.

I have to begin by saying that I am not pleased with Travis Childer's handling of the situation. The Republicans have been trying to attack Childers by associating him with Obama. And, to my regret, he has responded by telling reporters that he was not endorsed by Obama. In other words, he threw Obama under the bus.

Elections in Mississippi and Louisiana in two weeks may be the first real tests as to whether Republicans can turn into Obama into an effective boogeyman. Childers's eagerness to shrug off his party's frontrunner is a sign that some Democrats scare easily. A Democratic loss in that seat would not be helpful for Mr. Obama. The special election is set for May 13.

And, so now the Repugs are using Obama as a liability. If Childers does not win, it may be a reflection on Obama. I am not sure if netroots should do anything to help Childers or not. I take no position on the matter. But, I do not want Obama hurt if Childers does not win. Here is the ad.
