John McCain is a Jack-Ass Blood Thirsty Opportunist... He's lost all/any respect I've ever had for him as a veteran, as a "War Hero"... as he wears his Purple Heart on TV, as to rub in the face of Barack Obama, his particular brand of service, which generates medals... and at the same time champions war and blood and curtailed veterans benefits...
It's sad when a man like John McCain touts his service as a reason to "trust him" on judgement for our Military... There were many a great serviceman who've made many a foolish decision in the life of our country. Colin Powell most recently lied to the UN... Generals led thousands to certain death in Vietnam... Generals lost battles in WWII and WWI... and Generals presided over defeats in the Civil War.
Having known the smell of blood and guts and gunpowder does not uniquely qualify one to have moral authority for all things Military... Rather it can at times drive a man crazy with a superior notion of moral authority, as it has for this jack-assed war monger... pissing in the face of current veterans on Memorial Day of all days.
1) John McCain wants you to die for that GI Bill
In Opposition today to Jim Webb's GI Bill, seeking fairness in promotion of tuition for any soldier, regardless of length of service, so that the country may repay these brave men and women for their generous sacrifice... Such a fair minded bill will encourage enlistments and increase recruitment. Given new carrots, army recruiters will have an easier time in offices throughout the country.
But in John McCain's world, you have to serve longer, at greater personal risk, and while two wars rage and another is planned in his depraved mind vs. Iran, you'll probably die or risk permanent injury before the benefits of the GI Bill are offered to you. Why? Because some study purports that retention will drop 16%. Fuck that... 16%... what does 4000 dead do for moral and retention? Countless Deployments, prolongued tours, lies by the Top Brass as they plundge 10's of Thousands towards permanent disfigurement, mental handicap, and innumberable sufferings and sadness.... with no apologies, giving someone a reason to leave the military is simply not tolerable to that insurferable Jack-Ass. What dirt he has kicked in the face of the millions who've given their lives over the centuries for our flag, to say you have to risk blood before gratitude is offered. John McCain now has a veteran problem...
2) John McCain has relenquished his principle, his moral certainty, on not politicizing his service.
With a clear quote, John McCain pimped his record in the military.
"I take a backseat to no one in my affection, respect and devotion to veterans," McCain said. "And I will not accept from Senator Obama, who did not feel it was his responsibility to serve our country in uniform, any lectures on my regard for those who did."
There is a reason why we have civilian leadership of our military... There is a reason our greatest Commanders in Chief (Roosevelt, Lincoln) are men of the population and not men of the service. In his pompous piety, the rancor and disdain for reason and honest debate has deevolved into a bullied stance... Don't talk to me about that... you dirty peace lover... John McCain once lauded the fact that his service would never be exploited for Political Purposes. Once, when a man of principle, he sought to lead this country as a civilian, incorporating his lessons learned by being a brave military man, without wearing the medals on his chest or waving a flag of superiority. With his pimping of his service, John McCain has lost all authority on war and peace, Military and Veterans... He's a Jack-Ass Opportunist of the lowest Grade.
3) John McCain's Chicken Hawk Friends serve upon 527's intent on Smear.
The Brave Linsey Graham, Twice Decorated with Medals of Cowardace, and the Heroic Joe Lieberman, Often lauded for his ability to avoid war yet champion bloodshed at the same time, are immoral advisors to the Vets for Freedom 527, as if any Vets were ever not for Freedom.... How Vets for Freedom could ever seek out policy advice from two such famous Chicken Hawks is beyond me... How they could worse exploit the sufferings of injured returned vets for short term poltiical gain is even worse. The worst offense imaginable is to use the maimed for political advertisement. The fact that both men openly serve as Campaign Chairs for John McCain while openly service as Policy Advisors for such a depraved group of Freedom Seeking Lunatics is beyond the pale. John McCain's silent approval of these actions betrays the sacrifice he's given this country long ago.
John McCain is no longer a brave soldier, a war hero.
John McCain wants your sons and daughters to bleed in these wars and More. John McCain seeks some vague undefined notion of victory all the while giving platitudes about war and his disdain for such violence. All the while the purposefully inflames US vs Iranian relations, setting the stage for the next war, for the next battle...
On this Memorial Day Holiday, I have no respect left for John McCain... he's associated for far too long and now, is no better than his Chicken Hawk Friends. A man of the service should know better... And a man who bled for this country, to act this way in public for politics, is beyond disgrace... he's unworthy the medals he wears.
