It is already June and we are just now starting the General Election contest. Unlike the Kerry campaign where there was ample time for healing, the Obama campaign does not have that luxury.  The campaign will need more manpower to pull off a 50 state campaign. The campaign will need money asap. And, for this reason, I am not sure if we can wait all the way until the convention or beyond for Clinton supporters to "mourn" for lack of a better word. Some Clinton supporters have come aboard and are posting here again. But, perhaps a stronger push may help speed things a long and bring the return of all previous posters and new posters as well. So here is my proposal over the jump.

I think we need to have a daily mediation section that is at a certain time of day each day where Clinton supporters and Obama supporters can dialog in a neutral environment. Rules can be posted to ensure that a healthy, non-abrasive discussion is commenced. If anyone violates the mediation rules of the diary, then that person’s comments can be hidden. The topics could range each day, but the overall focus would be party unity.

My hope is that Clinton supporters will catch wind of the daily mediation session and will post their comments there as a way to not only express their thoughts but to also feel welcome. But, Kossacks who do not wish to participate can just skip the diary when it is posted. And, Kossacks who wish to participate in the discussion and make comments that may help Clinton supporters heal and come aboard faster would be encouraged to post there.

Finally, I hope that if Clinton supporters begin to see other diaries of interest, then they will begin to make comments there too. I think this may allow us to become strong and unified in a shorter period. It also shows that Kossacks do want to reach out to Clinton supporters and we do want a unified Democratic party.
