Many people have heard of "The Peter Principle".  But what intellectuals (and really the public at large) need to become acquainted with is "The Dunning-Kruger Effect".

Americans "petering"...
Any citizen who has had to deal with a large corporation has learned first-hand of the frustration endured when dealing with incompetent customer service representatives, salespeople, bankers...you name it.

But what about cell-addicts who talk while driving...isn't that just another form of incompetence?  And have you participated in any threads lately?  Where it seems at least 50% of the comments boil down to: "You're stupid...yuck, yuck, yuck!"  And amazingly these (frankly) incompetent responses are (apparently) the best the commentators have to offer.

I'm not going to belabor the point because everyone has their own set of pet peeve examples.  But for those who live with their eyes wide open, it's as plain as the nose on your face that America...as a country...has risen to its level of incompetence!

Disclosure: The author is an African-American.  So don't try to lecture me about the title...IT GOT YOU TO READ THIS DIARY, DIDN'T IT!

Enter Dunning-Kruger...
The Peter Principle puts the golf ball on the tee.  But it's The Dunning-Kruger Effect which sends that ball rocketing down the fairway and damned near out of sight.

The DKE was discovered by two researchers at Cornell University.  You can Google up the facts.  But in a nutshell...there are four premises and...

The main one is...(paraphrasing)...Clueless people have no idea they're clueless.  In fact...clueless people believe they're Masters of the Universe!

Interestingly enough, clueless people are supremely confident (of their non-abilities).  This is the classic "teenager" syndrome..... Someone who knows just enough to be dangerous but not enough to understand there are lots of things they still don't know yet.

Secondly...
Clueless people are unable to recognize or acknowledge informed people.  Have you ever tried to give a supremely confident teenager advice?  How did it work out for you?

Imagine going to the cockpit of a large airliner and trying to have a conversation with the pilot about the controls.  Unless you have flight experience...there's really nothing to talk about.

Thirdly...
The clueless person has no idea of how clueless they are.  WELCOME TO AMERICA!
The interesting part about living in America is the near total disconnect between the societal propaganda machine and the every day lives of the citizens.

Observers on the internet regularly document that Box Snooze viewers are watching a propaganda network.  And yet Box has very decent ratings!  How can that be?...Dunning-Kruger Three.

Pick a demagogue...Limbaugh, Imus, Stern, whomever...they thrive on DKE3.

Are You Experienced...
QUESTION: Have you availed yourself of the following resources...
911 in Plane Sight
Endgame
America:From Freedom To Fascism

[I have no monetary arrangements with these publications]

As DKE reveals...ignorance IS bliss.
But it's definitely not security!
If you're unfamiliar with the above materials...check them out and pass them along to your friends.
For those of you who have viewed these video presentations, let's continue....

Not So Sweet Sixteen...
Ask the average person on the street to explain the Sixteenth Amendment to you and watch their faces draw a blank.  Ask them to explain the basic principles of the Federal Reserve...they can't tell you.  And yet the inability to answer that question can be likened to someone not being able to answer the question, "Who was George Washington?"

The Trust We Can Change...
Despite all the hype, change is just a word.
What do you mean by "change" specifically?

CHALLENGE QUESTION 1: If you could only cause one change to occur during your entire lifetime in America.  What is the ONE change you would want to occur that would cause the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people?

A Man's Gotta Know His Limitations...
Currently there's a political candidate running for office with "CHANGE" as their underlying theme.  And yet...so far...IMHO, the only change this author has observed seems to have been change for change sake.

Meanwhile...others are suggesting that said candidate has not really changed at all.  HOW CAN SUCH DIAMETRICALLY OPPOSED VIEWS EXIST SIMULTANEOUSLY?

Well...has anyone bothered to ask either the critics or the candidate to define "change"...specifically? More importantly...has anyone asked both the candidate and the critics of said candidate WHAT IS THE ONE CHANGE THEY ARE WILLING TO DIE FOR, IF NECESSARY?  Because if that question has been asked...I've not seen the answer in print.

I'll stop here for comments.
More to come...
