Right now I am TOTALLY addicted to the movie Knocked Up starring Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen.  When it originally came out I thought it would be dumb, so I did not catch it at the movies.  I watched it for the first time last week on Cinemax and have watched it every night since then.

I am late to the game, so many of you have probably seen this movie, but it's still fresh to me.  For those of you have not, it's about a woman on the career fast track who has a one night stand with a guy going nowhere fast.  I have fallen in love with this movie.  It made me laugh, it made me cry and it made me jump up in cheer.  The transformation of Seth Rogen's character from a do nothing guy to the dream guy.  I tear up just thinking about it.

Here is an extremely funny clip.  Beware, your boss may not find it as amusing...

My last year's favorite was Music and Lyrics starring Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant.  I still watch it every once in a while because the music totally took me back to high school in the 80's and the love story made me cry.  Also Hailey Bennett's potrayal of the fictional pop star Cora Corman just cracks me up.

Here is a clip of my favorite performance by Hugh Grant.  It is an 80's video from his fictional former band "PoP".  Enjoy!

My favorite movie of all time is not a comedy, but a drama called Imitation of Life.  It has been done at least twice that I am aware of and my favorite version is the 1959 version starring Lana Turner and Juanita Moore.  The story revolves around the two women and their daughters.  Lana Turner a white single mother and aspiring actress and Juanita Moore her maid and friend.  Lana Turner's ambition causes problems in her relationship with her daughter, played by Sandra Dee.  Juanita Moore wants nothing more than to be a loving mother to her daughter, played by Susan Kohner.  However her daughter, who looks white, does not want to be associated with her "black" mother.  I am tearing up just thinking about it.

Last, but not least, a trailor of the 1959 movie.

I have one more favorite A Summer Place starring Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue, but I'll save that for another time.

Which movies make you laugh and cry?
