As a threshold matter, this is in response to a deeply cynical, dishonest pack of lies produced in video format by the McCain campaign. I will not link to it.
Besides, McCain lying is not a new development.
The Obama campaign punching them in the nose is.

Despite being discredited over and over again by numerous news organizations, the McCain campaign continues to repeat the lie that Sarah Palin stopped the Bridge to Nowhere. John McCain has voted with George Bush 90% of the time and he and Sarah Palin will continue Bush's economic policies, his health care policy, his education policy, his energy policy, and his foreign policy. McCain and Palin will say or do anything to make people believe that they will change something besides the person sitting in the Oval Office. That's the kind of politics people are tired of, and it's anything but change.
Yes. Everyone knows that BatMcCain and his Girl Wonder are serial exaggerators and liars. Everyone knows that the Bridge to Nowhere claims are blatantly untrue. But, the browbeaten media just slinks along and acts as an Amen chorus to McCain's Vietnam strategy.
So, it is up to the Obama campaign to point out that John McCain is a liar.
And finally they have done so. It is a start, and a very good one. The next step is to get Joe Biden to STOP TALKING ABOUT WHAT A GREAT FRIEND JOHN MCCAIN IS. Just stop it. Someone make him stop, please.
