The full story is here at msnbc's website, but for some reason the headline is what triggers my snark reflex:

Want Palin's e-mails? That'll be $15 million

Given all we know about Governor Palin, I suddenly had this vision in my head of a quick movie scene:

Palin: So they want the e-mails do they? Well they can have them for...

(pause - camera zooms in, dramatic music - consider putting pinky to the cheek)

Palin: Fif-teen-mill-ion dollars.

(music: dum dum daaaaaaaaa)

Palin and sycophants: Bwahah. Bwahahahah! MmmBwahahahahahahahah!!!!!!

(camera zooms back - we stay on the scene long enough for the laughter to become uncomfortable.)

Palin (sotto voce): You betcha.

Of course, even if you pony up the $15M+ (msnbc does the math for you) the records still wont be available until after the election.

Let's leave the inevitable Mimi-Me jokes tasteful, shall we? (I know that's asking a lot)
