Ms. Strozzi, who was nominated for an Emmy award for her makeup work on the television show "So You Think You Can Dance?", was paid $22,800 for the first two weeks of October alone, according to the records. The campaign categorized Ms. Strozzi’s payment as "PERSONNEL SVC/EQUIPMENT."

The payment on Oct. 10 made Ms. Strozzi the single highest-paid individual in the campaign for that two-week period. (There were more than two dozen companies that got larger payments than Ms. Strozzi). She easily beat out Mr. Scheunemann, who received $12,500 in the first half of October, and Ms. Wallace, who got $12,000.

It just gets worse doesn't it?  As I and many of those I know find that our money isn't going as far as it did just a year ago and the McCain is calling the Candidate I support an Elitist, the McCain Campaign spends $22,000 on a make up person for Sarah Palin's first two weeks on the campaign trail.

WILLIAMS: Who is a member of the elite?

PALIN: Oh, I guess just people who think that they're better than anyone else. And -- John McCain and I are so committed to serving every American. Hardworking, middle-class Americans who are so desiring of this economy getting put back on the right track. And winning these wars. And America's starting to reach her potential. And that is opportunity and hope provided everyone equally. So anyone who thinks that they are -- I guess -- better than anyone else, that's -- that's my definition of elitism.

WILLIAMS: So it's not education? It's not income-based? It's --

PALIN: Anyone who thinks that they're better than someone else.

WILLIAMS: -- a state of mind? It's not geography?

PALIN: 'Course not.

WILLIAMS: Senator?

MCCAIN: I -- I know where a lot of 'em live. (LAUGH)

WILLIAMS: Where's that?

MCCAIN: Well, in our nation's capital and New York City. I've seen it. I've lived there. I know the town. I know -- I know what a lot of these elitists are. The ones that she never went to a cocktail party with in Georgetown. I'll be very frank with you. Who think that they can dictate what they believe to America rather than let Americans decide for themselves.

Washington Post

You Betcha.

My husband is running for State Senate and we've been lucky to raise around $19,000 in the last six months.  Almost $15,000 of that is going to our ballot statement, which means, we are running short.   And California just had a record number of foreclosures, the largest number since they started tracking mortgage defaults in 1988.

According to DataQuick, 79,511 homes were lost to foreclosure in California for the three months that ended Sept. 30, a 228% increase over the same period a year earlier and the highest number since the company began tracking foreclosures in 1988.

I wonder what Joe the Plumber would say about his $100 donation to the campaign going to pay for Sarah Palin's make up stylist?  Why isn't anyone talking about the largest redistribution of wealth from the poorest to the wealthiest in the last eight years?
