I read that Obama is planning to make a campaign stop in Arizona this week. I understand the symbolic value of running up the score on McCain and defeating him on his home field, but feel that Obama's focus should be on the real rather than the symbolic.

Specifically, this means he should make appearances based on only two considerations:

a) Insuring his own victory. This means visiting 1)Pennsylvania, which is the only remaining big EV state that McCain has a prayer in that could effect the election outcome or 2)Virginia (13 EV)---which is Obama's finishing piece to victory as secure Kerry states plus Iowa put him with 259 or 3)Colorado(9EV) plus either New Mexico (5 EV) or Nevada (5 EV).

b) Going to states where Dems can pick up Senate seats and he has a shot at EVs. I'd put North Carolina on the top of the list, but Minnesota to help Franken is very important even though Obama has the state's EV's already. Georgia would be a distant third if Chambliss seems in serious trouble.
