As the snow started to fall in Georgia today,
a rare treat, I thought how in years past before
climate change, it was not that rare.

I wondered about what 2020 would be like with
the tech showing ramping up in Vegas.  In my generation, we never did get that flying car.
They predicited a lot wrong but I am not looking for predictions.  I want to know what you really
feel about the direction of this country and
will we really

recognize or want to recognize what will become of this nation by 2020.

I remember a time when kids could play outside
without worrying about drive by shootings or being hit by a stray bullet unless it was a broken window from a bb gun.  I recall when neighbors actually watched after you and didn't watch you to do harm.
It was nice to have doctors who believed in Do No Harm.  it was reassuring to have policemen that you could trust without worrying about being tasered. (I know about Kent State but that was the National Guard) not the local cop on the beat.
I remember a time when you could fly to outerspace in your imagination wihtout the help
of thumb action, just a few sticks and rocks for your space travel.
I remember when one did not have to turn the television off because their four year old might ask what Viagra was and what does erection lasting 4 hours mean?  How much trouble could and Ipana commercial cause?
I think about about all of this progress.  Is that what it is?  Is guarding children from predators by always having to have an eye and an
arm's reach really helping them to grow into independence?  It is like we are in prison in our own homes, if we are fortunate to have a home.
Walter Cronkite would not opine but when he did on occasion, people listened.  Presidents listened.
Overmedicated parents and overmedicated and overvaccinated kids, what will they bring to the table?
Will we learn from the past two decades or will
we keep regressing or continue to evolve into
apathetic people looking for answers.
Will a new party emerge to take care of this
ridiculous two party system we have or will we
become more like a police state?
I really want to know.
