They don't work for the federal government or state governments. They don't work for large employers who must pay minimum wages and give health benefits among others.
They work for Joe the pizza seller, mike the pig farmer and Annie the laundry store owner. They work for small businesses and farms too far for the reach of the law.
They also take care of the babies that young couples breed. They mow Mitt Romney's lawn and clean the site of contractor Pete before the crew arrives for the day.
They work under the shadow of the law because hypocrites who hate them for 'corrupting' their culture would rather pay them a stipend than pay an American citizen a decent wage.
Let's hope that congress does the right thing and passes real immigration reform that will make it illegal to enslave undocumented workers with sub-human wages.
That will lift everybody up and illegal immigrants will choose home over joblessness in a foreign land.
