A letter from the Georgetown County School District (S.C.) went out to students Friday, asking for a parent's yea or nay to allow their child to again watch President Obama give his national "Welcome Back to School" address.

If you recall last year, some parents - controlled by fear - would not allow their children to watch or listen to our president encourage them to stay in school, to do their best, study hard, etc. I suppose that's evil to them.

I want to know whether or not there are other school districts in the state of South Carolina and in all other states who are doing this. Parents, feel free to comment or send me an e-mail.

Have we not grown up yet, people?
