I am going to keep this diary short but I have got to
have some answers on this one.
My husband yesterday was walking through the house and the
TV was on one of the media talking head shows and they kept
referring to North Korea as a Regime. They also
included some other countries as this regime or that regime.
My husband looked at me and said, "Why in the world does
the media or rest of the world not refer to the United States as a regime? I scratched my head. I stared off for a bit and could absolutely not come up with an answer.
I didn't even bother looking up the actual
definition of Regime until tonight. That question caught me offguard and now I want to hear thoughts from you guys on this.

We are a regime. Lord knows under the Republican run congress and senate and Bush and Co., it was definately a
Regime. (by their definition of a regime) According to the definition of regime, The US
has had one of the oldest regimes around.
Why are we not calling the teabaggers a Regime? Why are the ads not calling a Republican congress and senate a Regime? I know the media will not call it that because
they do all the whitewash and cleanup for the republicans.

Anytime the media or any politician is wanting to cast a government or leader in a bad light, they use the phrase, Regime led by so and so. This has stuck in most people's head. Mine included. I really would like some of your input and give
me some answers on why the US is not referred to as what is . I know it is not being called that because we haven't nation built,
started needless wars, attacked civilians, pushed and lied people into war or tortured. Broken the constitution, lied to the people and I know that alone would qualify any other republic as a bad or regime but not us. So what is the answer. Would people freak out and say, Oh no ! America is not a regime. They need to look it up.
This word is a political term for government and we are just not referred to as such.
If republicans eventually take control of everything again, then call it what it really is..A republic of Republican Regime.
