Okay, I love cats and I sincerely believe they have nine lives. Without those lives curiosity would have killed them all. Now I am curious about mojo and the recommended diary list. Kos posted a diary discussing recent changes made to the mojo rating that should result in less people having a mojo rating less than five. My mojo rating promptly dropped to four. As far as I can tell none of the people I follow avidly dropped from five. Yes, they write better diaries than I do, but I also started checking people I do not follow and there were still many many five mojo rated people. Now way back in January 2010 I did get a whole bunch of hide (troll) ratings, because I did not believe communities other than those dealing with democratic politics belonged on Kos. I learned I was wrong and I haven't had a single hide (troll) rating since. So now I wonder, just how long do hide (troll) ratings stick with you and impact your mojo? I am curious as my cats are.

Since the return of the DK3 policy of recommended followed by recent diaries diaries I also noticed that sometimes a more recent diary with more recommendations is not on the recommended list while another older diary with fewer recommendations is. I also noticed that I get fewer diaries on the recommended list than under DK3. This causes me to wonder if anything has changed about getting on the recommended list. For example, does mojo now play a role where previously it didn't?

While I am posting this to cranky users, I am not cranky about this, just curious. I would also like to see a way of posting questions to DailyKos without posting a diary.

May we end the union busting budget busting republican rule in the House and elect more progressives to the Hous. Have a great day.
