I'm not a regular diariest, but I feel this needs some thought. Perhaps it's a little too naunced, but we are the "party of the little details" so here it goes...
Who would Osama endorse?
OBL has shown to be a shrewed strategic planner. Since 9/11, AQ recruiting has sky-rocketed, independent terrorist groups have sprouted up, and the US has troops occupying an oil rich country in the Middle East.
Osama bin Ladin has us right where he wants us.
However, these aren't the important details. Only that OBL is a strategic and tacitcal leader is important for my point. Based this I believe the following conclusion to be true: a known opponent is more favorable than an unknown opponent. Therefore, OBL wants Bush to win reelection. The prime reason, is that when choosing between a certainty and an uncertainty, you will favor the certainty. OBM, like America isn't too sure what a Kerry War on Terrorism will look like.
How does this help us? Only by pushing the logic, which doesn't get you too far these days. Letter to the Editor. Frame the issue using Football terms, baseball terms, or NASCAR terms. Put this forward in laymen ways. Don't pitch it like you're writing to Dr. Nash in A Beautiful Mind.
Remember, this is only to dispell the notion that OBL wants Kerry to win the election. It also sets up the notion that OBL knows that a terorist attack will rally people around Bush.
