This morning Terry Stulce announced he will run for Congress in 2006 to defeat Zach Wamp. Terry never had political ambitions, until now, when as he said" I will not sit silently as our country is being destroyed by the arrogant incompetence of Bush and his congressional cronies like Zach Wamp." Phi Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude. He atended UT on a scholarship from the ROTC and the day he graduated was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. in the U.S. Army. He served two tours in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He earned the Bronze Star with "V" for Valor and the Bronze Star for Meritorious Services in Ground Combat. He became a Captain within two years of service. He has seen so much war that he knows violence is not a solution, most often it is a problem.

Unlike Wamp, Terry knows what it is like to be in the thick of battle and as David Hackworth says" to dance the dance of death for your country." A war to defend your country is one thing, but a war for Haliburton is not right. Wamp voted with Tom Delay to stop an investigation into Haliburton for war profiteering and fraud. This is such an outrage.
As stated above, Terry never ran for office or had a desire to, but because of the war in Iraq, the shabby treatment of our veterans, the prisoner abuse scandals and the war profiteering by Haliburton, he decided something needed to be done. Zach Wamp is not doing anything about it, only helping the rich and powerful war profiteers.

We must get rid of Zach Wamp. He has done nothing for our country and district 3 except harm. Wamp is part of the Newt Gingrich cronies that took over in 94, they ran on the issue of term limits, well Wamp no longer advocates that stance. Surpise Surprise!! Time for Wamp to get the heave-ho and put someone decent and progressive in his place. Go Terry Stulce.
