Im not an extremely active political person but I am watching with dread the thought of VA leaning back to the right with this very close Governors race. A new WAPO poll see quote below the fold has Tim Kaine slightly ahead now. But the extremely convervative Richmond Times Dispatch has thrown its wieght behind the GOP's Jerry Kilgore and their letters to the editor and Op/Ed sections are a Tim Kaine bash fest. IF ever there was a time for Daily Kos and the Kossacks to stand up its now. In five days the Progressive revolution could start right here in the heart of the GOP. Virginia has long been considered a GOP strong hold. Consecituve Democratic governors will continue to slide the fight.

Democrat Timothy M. Kaine has taken a narrow lead in Virginia's governor's race, buoyed by newfound strength in Northern Virginia's outer suburbs and an electorate turned off by what it considers the negative tone of his Republican opponent, according to a new Washington Post poll.
Kaine leads Republican Jerry W. Kilgore among the most likely voters by three percentage points, 47 to 44, according to the poll, which has a three percentage point margin of error. Independent candidate H. Russell Potts Jr. was supported by 4 percent of the voters.
Kaine has also posted on his website the debate Kilgore does not want people to see. THis needs to be pushed as hard as it can. The people of VA have to see who Kilgore really is. There are many others on here that are in VA now or have lived here before. Many of you know better than me what needs to be done, lets do it. Lets get out there and help win this state!!
