Is the DNC out of money?

I've seen two reports from right wing sources that the DNC is in pretty dire financial straits.  

Is there more to this story?  (Sorry about the 'winger' link, it's all I can find.  I don't see any straight news reports.)

I'm a huge, huge believer in Dean's message and the power of people using the internet to transform politics, but this does seem like we're in an incrediby bad spot for the 2006 elections.

Somebody please tell me there is more to the story!
