I am a fan of Dean's and a supporter because he is one of the first to represent both center-left, sensible politics as well as candidly denounce Bush as a liar. Dean is the first and best candidate for representing my politics and, finally, Dean's fundraising system is ultra-democratic in character. There are many other things to write about Dean, but the point is, what am I to do if Dean loses?
I don't want to vote for Kerry or Edwards. They don't represent me. They wiggle and waffle. They are Republican Lite. Etc.
The point is, what do I (and by extension, all Dean supporters) expect to do, if I am forced to support a candidate I did not want? I don't want another Clinton Demopublican. Yes, I'll vote "Anyone But Bush", but I guarantee I am not going to have the same degree of enthusiasm.
Yes, this is a long winding post. Sorry. Bluntly, if you are a Dean supporter, what are you going to do if he loses?
