My Bush press conference question

If I'd been a reporter at yesterday's press conference, I'd have asked this:

Mr.President, By authorizing the NSA to monitor Americans without judicial review, you're asking the country to trust you. Why should we trust you in a way we haven't trusted any other President we've had for the past 225 years? Are we to similarly trust future Presidents whose identities we don't know?
