To protect yourself against possible acts of terrorism you should no longer frequent your local library.
According to the kind hearted well meaning Repugs, the library is a hotbed of subversive activity and well known center for supporting terrorism (now deemed anything that is critical of the current administration). This image of the library is given star-billing in the Boston Globe (like most of the media, suffering an attack of political amnesia) today. The writer, Richard L Cravatts, even goes so far as to insinuate that libraries are partially to blame because one of the 9/11 terrorists used a library computer in Florida prior to the attacks. This is so insulting to librarians everywhere. Who do these right wing fundamentalists think they are? Perhaps Mr Cravatts would not mind if federal or local agents combed his library records unannounced. If people in this country are so accepting of government interference because it protects them from terrorism then they deserve George W. Bush for President. The rest of us deserve better!
