Staggering statistics (
http://www.freedomalliance.org/...) that demonstrate American's absorb emmense cost to have cheap labor available in the United States through our current immigration policy will have little affect on those who see only the "human" side of this crisis. This is the way most of us come to a part of ourselves that is compationate, caring, understanding and kind. We put a face on it. Our faces, thier faces and show stories of the American dream through thier eyes, suffering and struggles.
This reminds us all that the human cost extends in many directions. How we react and have reacted to the hardships and suffering of the people of the world has been generous to say the least, far more than any other country.
It seems that we are truly expected to be the worlds hardship police. And, a genuine anger appears to have risen because many of us don't feel that we should be responsible for so many of the world's people. We do have our own people to think about as well.
I feel for the people of the world that wish to seek a better life in America. I grew up with stories from my own family and the hardships they faced when they got here. Further, we have all seen, and understand that the entire world has people that want to come to the Unites States in search of a better life for themselves and thier families. That there are hardship stories from all corners of the globe. That we can only do what we are capable of doing and we are currently not capable of what we are attempting to do with immigration.
I see absolutely no risk in controlling our borders and managing immigration. I do however, see a mountain about to be dropped on us if we do not do what we must do for ourselves and our country.
We must take complete control over the southern border. I'm from El Paso, Texas and that's my view.
