So all day, Cheney's been ragging on and on about how Kerry has a "pre-9/11 mindset" and how that mindset somehow will leave Americans open to nuclear attack.
Oh, really now? Kerry has a "pre-9/11 mindset?"
Remind me again about what Kerry was doing a decade-and-a-half ago? Oh, yeah, that's right ... hunting down terrorist financial ties in the BCCI investigation, looking at ways to monetarily starve terrorists at the root so they couldn't harm us.
Sounds kinda POST-9/11 smart, if you ask me.
I really wish Kerry would hammer this reality-challenged administration with his personal investigative experience with terrorism. I realize the BCCI investigation was awfully complicated, but surely it can be boiled down to: Kerry ferretted out the bad guys' money, traced ties between them and helped cut them off from financial sources.
And keep repeating: This was more than 10 years ago. Pretty far-sighted, I'd say. Post-9/11 before 9/11 occurred.
