If I'm not mistaken, The Daily Show happened to be all reruns last week and didn't air last night (due to the holiday?).
If I'm correct, tonight will be the first time TDS will be tackling the Katrina/FEMA double disaster.
I remember the first post-9/11 show, when Stewart gave a phenomenal opening speech ("monologue" sounds too trite) which hit just the right tone, as he nearly always does.
But what about tonight? Can he possibly find a way to extract some amount of humor--black or otherwise--out of this fiasco, especially before there's even anything close to a full understanding of the death toll?
Just wondering what others think about it.
