gays in political positions, update from germany

The mayor of Hamburg, who is in fact the governor  of Hamburg ( with more than three times the population of Vermont ... hahahaha ) did just have his public coming out, two gay governors out of 18   states is not that bad ( Berlin is the other one ).
The funny thing is that he's a member of the christian-democratic party ( the german republicans) so he never admitted that he was gay until one of his cabinet members,a very controversial...madman, accused him of having a love affair with his Attorney General.
