I've been chatting with a bunch of different progressives since our loss last Tuesday, and I'm hearing the same thing over and over. Progressives need to define their "values," and we need to think about what our concrete goals are. That's how we'll win over voters.
I've put some early thoughts on my blog. I think that we need to talk about the future. In that post, I talk about stem cells and Clinton's dialogue on race as particular examples of that.
I think we can talk about faith while being secular. I think it takes a larger leap of faith to believe in the perfectibility of people than to believe in Biblical literalism.
