I am on the mailing list of the American Family Association because I answered one of their polls a while back. Today I got an email asking their supporters to call the Senate and ask them to get rid of the filibuster. They helpfully provided a toll-free number. I have not tried using it yet, but thought others might appreciate it. The number is 1-866-808-0065.
I've also been struck yet again by the fact that of all the events and issues which would seem to demand moral outrage -- the war, the prison abuse scandals, the growing gap between rich and poor -- they are most concerned about Christianity losing its prominence and... er... that homosexuals want them to marry each other. Or something. Their list of things they think we want to do would be really funny under normal circumstances.

10. Creating hate crimes laws to punish those who believe homosexuality is wrong
11. Denigrating Christianity to a secondary status
12. Making secularism the only legitimate religion
