Is this what is in store for America?  What is next?  Male masturbation becomes a felony for "killing" millions and millions of potential babies?  Constitutional Amendment to ban condoms?  Chasity belts required for all children?  Restaurant owners not allowing blacks because they feel it is morally "wrong" to mix whites with them?   This is the true danger of the "mandate" the Christian evangelicals and other right wingers feel they have.  If they are allow to roam and pass whatever kinds of "Christian" and right wing bills, then we are in for a sad ride.

It is obvious that these people want to force their view of morality on other people.  They believe that this morality comes from their right to pactice freedom of reglion.   What they really mean is freedom to practice their religion in the way they specify it.  We don't want to become like the Islamic fundalmentalist's opposite partner.   One of many things that has made America great is the seperation of Church and State.  Our founders saw what state sponsored religion did to many countries in Europe with their incessant persecutions and usage of religous context for invading other countries.  These evangelical do not seem to get that best way to preserve the freedom of religion (if they truely believe in it) is to keep government out of religion.   I do not think the freedom of religion mean being able to force your beliefs in others.
