Psyche! Group Hug!
Hey everyone; don't forget to breathe.
In two months, we'll all be on the same team. Announcements like "Kerry will never have my support" and "Dean will loose me if he does this one more time" and "I just can't trust General Clark" will all fade into the blissfully porous haze of memory.
Because it will be pretty obvious what's up then -- no need to deliberate as to which side we're on -- and no one can drop out; otherwise my other persona will come and getya.
You will participate. And so will a lot of other people who havn't wanted to get involved in this mess so far. This year has been a great education for me, and I know it has been for others too. We can win this election.
It will be a battle for the nomination. Good. That's what it should be. It will be a great contest for our values, and even if "the establishment" (a favorite boogyman of mine) should prevail, their days will be numbered. The genie is out of the bottle here. Unless there's a totally facist crackdown, or the government starts handing out soma, we will still be here driving the Movement towards the right way of doing things. This shit is going world-wide in our lifetime, and the revolution will not be televised.
