As much as so many here (myself included) talk about impeachment, there's one question that needs to be asked--does it have the votes? Well, no time like now to find out. After all, Shrub just got two lumps of coal over the past weekend.
Remember, you need 67 votes to convict a president and remove him from office. Assuming all 45 Dems vote to convict (I include Jeffords as a Dem in this analysis), thus far there are 57 ayes, 27 noes and 16 maybes.
As I see it, it bodes very well that Shrub may have the confirmed support of less than half the Repubs.
