Chicken Little opens 11/4/05, yet the Bush administration is once again claiming the sky is falling. I want to know how many more detainees have "credible" information on attacks on the US? Is it really "credible" or is it something that they keep trying to sell us in order to "Wag the Dog" some more here in America? You be the judge but I find this latest series of events way too timely and coincidental in order to take the attention off of Delay, Rove, and the Plame cases.
A prime example: the
NY subway is first reported to be threatened and the city of NY goes on high alert on 7 OCT 05 at 8:36 am and then coincidentally Bush makes a
speech to the American public on 7 OCT 05 at 8:02 PM outlining how Iraq is connected to the threat. Does anyone else think that this is completely scripted?
From where I sit the propaganda machine is once again in full swing as a precursor to the Iraqi elections overseas. Once again the Bush administration is trying to sell us that we need to stay the course in Iraq in order to protect us here at home. The polls continue to fall and the body count continues to rise; yet Bush's unwavering stupidity to stay the course in Iraq despite an obvious lack of progress is once again being rammed down our throats.
He has become the "Boy That Cried Wolf" and as a result the American people have become desensitized to all these bogus terror alerts, color coded matrixes, and false preparations supposedly being made by those sworn to protect us.
So how are we to know when it is really important? In the infamous words of GW "Fool me once...shame on me....fool me, we can't get fooled again."
What's next, banning Halloween, because the CIA, FBI, and the Secret Service can't sort through all those costumes?
How about banning Thanksgiving? Since after all we are facing a huge pandemic due to Avian flu; so much that GW wants to call in the non-existent National Guard to quarantine the world.
Maybe Christmas even? I guess I need to start breaking the news to my 5 year old that Santa won't be coming to town because of security measures over the US and there might be a possibility of an outbreak of "Mad Reindeer" disease at the North Pole.
I don't know about you but I am sick of the BS and we still have 3 more years of this? Maybe I should wish for a twister to come visit us so we all can live in an alternate reality like Dorothy and Toto until then. Or maybe I will sit down and watch my all time favorite movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still and wish that Gort and Klatu have really landed in Washington, DC.
"Gort, Klaatu barada nikto."
Or just maybe I should sit down and watch "Wag the Dog", so I can predict where and when the next piece of propaganda will hit.
